Water Treatment
Genaust provides a number of Water Treatment products for commercial and industrial applications. These products are for:
- Spill Control & Constant Monitoring System for most applications
- Firstflush & Tradewaste Diversion Systems
- Recycling Systems – Wash down, Process, Wastewater
- Silt Traps and Collection Pits
- Dosing & Balancing Units, Ph etc
- Industrial & Agricultural Filtration – Multimedia, Screen, Pressure, Hydrocarbon etc.
- Hydraulic Valves, RPZ Valves, Actuated Valves
The products come in two series types, the CB & CL series and the EM series.
CB & CL series

The CL and new CB Series of stainless steel coalescing separators feature improved compact design suitable for all major industry applications at a very affordable price while maintaining a commitment to superior quality, durability and materials. They are available in sizes ranging from 1000 litres per hour to 10,000 litres per hour and all are covered by our full ten-year warranty to protect your investment.
Both models use extended coalescing packs and extra large hoppers for improved separation and ease of maintenance. All separators come complete with pump, float switch and adjustable leg stand or can be wall mounted.
Process Description
These oil/solids water separators are a coalescing interceptor type. They are an enhanced gravity separator designed to separate non-emulsified oils and solids from the wastewater stream to reduce effluent hydrocarbon content to less than 30ppm. The wastewater stream enters through the inlet port where it is dispersed before travelling through the coalescing pack where solids are separated downwards and collect in the sludge hopper below while oil droplets are coalesced and rise to the surface. The resulting film of oil is automatically skimmed off to the oil receptacle below. The cleaned wastewater then flows through the under and over weirs before exiting via the outlet port. (Through filter bags in CL Series). The maximum flow capability and effluent quality will always be dependent on the nature and quality of the influent. Please consult us for advice on correct equipment selection for your application.
NOTE: Use only Quick Break detergents and degreasers with these separators.

EM series

This is a unique separation system combining coalescing packs, filters and patented media to produce an extremely high effluent discharge quality, unachievable by standard plate separators.
The EM Series of separators is intended for use where a very high quality of discharge wastewater is required for discharge to the Environment, Recycling or where normal sewer facilities are not available.
The "EM Series" uses a combination of coalescing packs, dams, weirs, filter bags and media to separate not only free floating oils and solids but also emulsified oils and most chemicals from a wastewater stream.
It has been designed to reduce effluent hydrocarbon content to less than 5ppm (usually 1 ppm or undetectable!) so it can be used in all normal applications but is Specifically designed to safeguard the environment and business operator from unplanned high-level discharges or spills through the unique processes and multiple safety protection devices.
This separator not removes oils, but many other dangerous chemicals such as PCB's, Chlorine, DDT, Phenols and Dieldrin, just to name a few.
The "EM Series" has two unique protection devices built into it, the first to automatically block the exit and activate the alarms in the event of a major spill, containing pollutants within the holding tank and catchment area. The second protection device automatically tells you exactly when the system needs servicing.
Process Description
Wastewater enters the "EM Series" unit through the inlet port where it is dispersed before travelling through the coalescing pack where free oils are coalesced and rise to the surface forming a film of oil, that is automatically skimmed to the waste oil receptacle, while solids are separated downwards to the sludge hopper.
The wastewater stream then passes through under and over weirs to the central filtration chamber where any remaining suspended solids or objects with neutral gravity are removed down to 25 microns before exiting through the dip pipe arrangement to the final patented filtration media chamber.
The wastewater stream is then dispersed through the special media where any remaining hydrocarbons and most chemicals are removed before exiting through the outlet port.
